School Committee

The school committee was formed on 1 January 2025 when Nunthorpe Academy joined Areté Learning Trust. Nunthorpe Academy works very closely with its School Committee. This group of invividuals, who have a very wide range of backgrounds, offers both support and high levels of challenge to the Headteacher and the Leadership Team, ensuring that standards across the school are constantly being raised. Our Governors are passionate about improving the lives of our children. The terms of reference for the school committee can be found below. School committees formally meet four times a year. They question, challenge and support our school leaders. Details of specific responsibilities delegated by the Board are set out in the Scheme of Delegation.
